Program of Work

Our “Program of Work” describes a series of year-long events and workshops that teach our students employability and job readiness skills through practice. Close to 1,500 students actively participate in SkillsUSA Council programs, trainings, and activities that were conducted in and out of school.

An awards ceremony honoring 43 career & technical education students in memory of founding Member Elmer Gates.

National Conference

Students who won gold at the PA State Conference advanced to the National Competition in Atlanta, GA.

Professional Development Conference

This conference provides students with intensive training in essential employment and leadership skills.

Breakfast of Champions

A sendoff breakfast before the National Conference to celebrate our competitors as they prepare to leave.

Elmer Gates Memorial Clay Shoot

A fundraiser honoring the legacy of SkillsUSA Council founder, who dedicated his life to young and developing leaders. 

Officer & Ambassador Training

This training prepares students to serve their schools and community upholding the principles of SkillsUSA.

Signing Day

Recognizing graduating CTE students heading directly into the workforce with a full-time job secured in their trade area.

District 11 Championships

Championships provides an opportunity for students to showcase their skills to the larger community in a competition format.

Industry Tours

Helping students understand the needs of employers and practice their soft skills in a professional setting.

Pennsylvania State Conference

Students who won gold at the District Championship advanced to the State Competition in Hershey, PA

The goal of this day is to increase awareness and student membership within our five CTE member schools.
