Event Sponsorships

The SkillsUSA Council hosts several events a year designed to give showcase our amazing students. Sponsorships are available for several events, including:

Annual Meeting-Leadership by Example Breakfast

The Annual Meeting provides the Council with the opportunity to share a yearly update on its goals and accomplishments while also honoring a member of the community for his or her contribution to career and technical education. Students from each of the schools attend the event, allowing them to both observe and interact with business people who are involved with and support the Council. Several students have the opportunity to share their gold medal winning projects or address the group.

SkillsUSA Championships

Our largest community event, the District 11 SkillsUSA-Championships, is becoming more challenging for the students every year. For many, it is the first opportunity to work along-side industry representatives. These representatives are area business leaders, some from Air Products, who facilitate and judge the competitions. This event is also the first time that students are able to showcase their skills to the larger community, applying what they have learned in the classroom to what is needed in the workforce. Identifying personal strengths and learning how to focus, meet goals, and working under pressure prepares our student competitors for the world of work.

This year’s event will be held Wednesday, February 3 at Allentown Agri-Plex. Sponsorships are available now! Download the Sponsorship flyer or register now.

Elmer Gates Enterprise Awards Breakfast

The Elmer Gates Enterprise Awards are given to 38 career and technical education students chosen for their academics, school activities, SkillsUSA involvement, community service, and entrepreneurial spirit. The students are honored by Elmer Gates at a breakfast ceremony.
